Aldevinco, Shopper's Paradise in Davao

This photo of Aldevinco Shopping Center is courtesy of TripAdvisor

I like Aldevinco because the batik, bags, pearls, etc. are cheaper there. Because it's a cluster of stores, the place will give shoppers a wide selection of Davao souvenir items like shirts, fridge magnets, coin purses, etc. Don't leave Davao without checking this place out.

You name it, you can get everything in this place. Hold on, check that. What I meant to say is you can get batik cloths, jewelry made of pearls and gemstones, copper ware, various types of wood work, ancient swords, shields and other handicrafts. The prices are higher than expected but cheaper compared to the traveler's home country. You are. however, expected to barter and this system could be fun for others while a pain for some :) Additionally, if you run out of the local currency, they have a few money exchangers who offer better rates than banks. In closing, all I have to say is to enjoy and have fun!

Araw ng Dabaw 2014

The people of Davao City will be marking this year’s Araw ng Dabaw festivities on March 16. The day, which falls on a Saturday, is a special non-working holiday in the city as declared by Republic Act 7551.

The law, which was enacted in 1992 during the time of then-President Corazon Aquino, says that officials of Davao City shall “lead appropriate and meaningful celebrations and activities participated in by officials and employees of the national government agencies or instrumentalities, civic, religious and nongovernment organizations, and private companies” doing business there.

Elizabeth Mall, Best Cebu Mall

Elizabeth Mall (or widely known as E-Mall) was built into the mall market on December 2003 in Cebu City, Philippines. E-Mall was tagged as the Shopping Center of the South, it is located along N. Bacalso Avenue and Leon Kilat Sts., and offers a variety of choices from supermarkets, food stores, game amusements, computer/cellphone shops and clothing accesories.

E-Mall also have 3 cinemas called Cinemathique, equipped with Dolby Digital Surround Stereo and the only one in Cebu that uses German Technology in their theater equipments.

Some sources said that E-mall Cinemathique offers the lowest rate in Dolby Digital Cinema Sound experience, compare to other malls in Cebu. No wonder we heard expansion plans in the coming months.
